We’re here for you.

We work with young people who are 16-25, on a low income, managing their mental health and/or have complex needs. As our client, you are at the centre of everything we do.

We welcome young First Nations, LGBTIQA+, young people with disabilities and young people who are newly arrived in Australia.

Open Door is for young people who want to work towards independence. And, our service is free!

If you have nowhere to go, we can help. If you can’t stay where you are because of overcrowding, financial stress, family violence, or other tenancy issues, we’re here for you.

We will treat you with respect.

We acknowledge your right to make your own choices and decisions. You will be treated with confidentiality, dignity and respect, at all times.

We will mould our support around what you tell us your individual support needs are. We know that your support needs may be low, medium or high and may change over time. This means your support period may vary from one-off support, a few months support, or from one to three years.

We will always seek your consent to work with you and anyone in your support network, such as mental health workers, counsellors and other support people you choose.

We will support you to reach your goals towards independence and to becoming a successful tenant.
